Photomatix

Photomatix Pro is a piece of software that takes the drudgery out of HDR Photography even in poor lighting conditions – it blends the photographs together automatically and allows you to change lots of settings to completely transform the image.

A couple of years ago I created an in depth Photomatix tutorial to help people get to grips with it – it’s one of those pieces of software that is easy to get started with, but experience really pays dividends.  As a result I was given a 15% discount code, which is handy – enter the code ‘DanNorcott’ when buying a copy to get the discount, or just download a free trial if you want to try it out.

Using Photomatix over the years, I’ve produced some images I’m really happy with, of which a few can be found below. Pop over to the tutorial if you’re interested in learning how I make them!

The above is a small sample of the photographic quality that can be achieved using HDR software. HDR photography doesn’t come with much of a learning curve at all and you too can quickly be knocking out great HDR photos like these. There’s more examples of HDR photography on our home page.
